VISIT VISAS
This route is for a person who wants to visit the UK for a temporary period, (usually for up to 6 months), for purposes such as tourism, visiting friends or family, carrying out a business activity, or undertaking a short course of study. The main requirement is that you are a 'genuine' visitor.
STUDENT VISA
This route is for a person aged 16 or over who wants to study with a sponsor on a course of further or higher education, a pre-sessional English course, or a recognised foundation Programme, also known as University Access Programme. You must demonstrate that you are a 'genuine' student.
SKILLED WORKER
VISA
The Skilled Worker Visa allows you to work in the UK if you have a job offer from an authorised employer. To qualify, you will need to meet specific requirements, including a confirmed job offer, English language skills, and a minimum salary threshold. This visa can lead to permanent residence in the UK.
FAMILY VISAS
Join your loved ones in the UK on a Family Visa if your spouse or long-term partner is a British citizen or have Indefinite Leave to Remain (permanent residency) in the UK. You may also apply as a parent provided you meet specific requirements. Additionally, if you have eligible UK ancestry, you may qualify for a visa to live and work in the UK.
CITIZENSHIP
Become a UK citizen through a process called naturalisation if you have lived in the UK for a qualifying period, typically five years, or three years if married to a British citizen. You will need to show good character, English language skills and pass the Life in the UK Test (unless an exemption applies).
ASYLUM
To be eligible for asylum, you must demonstrate that you have a well-founded fear of persecution if you return to your home country. Once granted asylum, you will have the right to live, work, and access public services in the UK. You may also be able to bring certain family members to join you.
